According to the information card – this diaeta (a day-room or living room), with a window opening onto the Gulf, reveals a special mosaic wall decoration consisting of diamond shapes (rhombs), within which birds, flower, female figures, medallions and cupids alternate.
Largely removed in the 18th century, it was variously remounted in the Naples Museum, where it can be seen to this day.

According to the information card –
