IX.9.c Pompeii. December 2005. Peristyle, looking east. According to Jashemski, the open area was enclosed on the north, west, south and part of the east sides by a portico. According to Jashemski, the open area was enclosed on the north, west, south and part of the east sides by a portico.

It was supported by four columns and one engaged column, and a double pillar at the south-west corner.

IX.9.c Pompeii. March 2009.  Anteroom with drain on south side which emptied into the street. According to NdS, this room had flooring of signinum, and walls painted with a yellow background, although the frieze was painted to look like imitation marble. In this room two bronze seals were found –
on 12th April 1887, with the wording - Q. Nolani \ Primi (see Notizie degli Scavi, 1887. p. 245), and
on 21st June 1887, with the wording - C. Salpici \ Rufi (see Notizie degli Scavi, 1887, cit. p. 379).

IX.9.c Pompeii. December 2005. Drainage channel at base of south wall, in room in south-west corner of portico.  According to NdS, this covered channel in the form of a step, ran along the base of the south wall of both rooms. This channel communicated with the central area of the peristyle.
