According to
Jashemski, the large mosaic fountain had a garden painting on its left (north)
side which was visible from the north portico.
Bushes, birds and
flowers are still faintly visible.
A large bird flying
through the blue sky is well-preserved in the centre of the painting.
In the lower portion
of the wall, where a lattice fence might be expected, the plaster is missing.
