North wall:
A group of heroes with the inscription ….YGES (possibly
Phryges) [at extreme west end]
[Following] Patrocles fighting on a wagon and with the
arms of Achilles, with the inscriptions XANTUS, BADIUS and PATROCLOS
[Following the previous] Thetis gives the weapons to her
son; Automedon readies the chariot: with the inscriptions THETIS, BADIUS,
ACHiLL[e]S and AUTO[me]DON
At the east extremity, after a gap whose fragments were
perhaps dispersed in preceding explorations, the body of Hector dragged by the
chariot. With the inscriptions [hect]OR and AUTOMEDON
East wall:
The Funeral of Patroclus
Games in his honour
Ransom of body of Hector
South wall: (Left to right)
Apollo firing arrows causing a plague throughout the Greek
army [West end]
A horse is being watered, guarded by a hero [opposite end]
